Nicole Watson is a single mother with a young daughter who overcame significant obstacles. I got to meet Nicole last week thanks to some purpose-led brands helping her gain self-sufficiency in a social media marketing career.

To make it easier for Nicole to succeed as a newly minted marketing professional, some wonderful national and local organizations came together to give Nicole a new car at an event here in the Atlanta area.

Nicole's career launch follows her completion of the job preparation program at Every Woman Works, a non-profit founded by retired corporate executive Tillie O’Neal-Kyles, a.k.a. Miss Tillie. Dialogue supported Every Woman Works with our client holiday gift this year because we loved the mission of its learning center.

Nicole shared her story about overcoming addiction and how the Every Woman Works program gave her the skills and confidence to pursue a non-traditional path to a corporate/business marketing career.

Her tearful gratefulness was beyond moving, but what stayed with me was when she said, "I am worthy."

I know the journey of changing the talk track in my head--we just talked about it with author Shira Miller in the previous blog post

This was a powerful expression of how much accepting and loving yourself can change your life.

  • Hugs to my friend and follow PR agency owner Debby Robinson 😍 and her partner Dale for making the connection between their client's purpose-led initiative--the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program--and Every Woman Works.

A big thank you to the donors of Nicole's 2021 Nissan Versa: GEICO and Classic Collision Sandy Springs, how these businesses thought of everything, stocking her trunk with supplies and gift cards,

And gifting her daughter with a cool new ride of her own: a new purple and pink bicycle, assembled by one of the Classic Collision techs.

You are worthy, Nicole. We all wish the very best to you in your career.
